As part of the immigration process, when an application is made to the British High Commission for every entry clearance into the U.K., the Immigration Authority requests that either the sponsor or the individual requiring entry, provides confirmation that the property they intend to live in is safe, fit for human habitation and not contravening current legislative rules of overcrowding.
Unfortunately, rules stipulate that confirmation provided by a family member or an unqualified third party member is deemed insufficient. An assessment can only be provided by a competent person with the relevant qualifications. They will certify that they have undertaken a formal inspection and will provide a report as supporting evidence in accordance with the Housing Act 1985 and other public health regulations that may be applicable.

In order to speed up this immigration process, as a team of qualified Environmental Health Officers, SDEnvironmental can provide a rapid and efficient service to you, whereby the intended property for occupation is inspected, a report of which is written and submitted either to yourself or your representative. Because we appreciate that occasionally, this service may be required urgently, we aim to undertake the immigration inspection as soon as possible and at a time to suit you. Additionally, we will produce and submit the report within 48 hours of inspection. Once our report does reach you or your representative, please ensure it is sent to the Immigration Authority within 12 weeks, after which it will be deemed to have expired and the housing inspection process will need to be repeated
